We've had a long-term retainer consultancy contract with Westminster City Council's economic development unit since 2009. During this time we've assisted the Council to develop, invest in and manage a range of projects to support economic in the City of Westminster.
Here are some of the highlights of our work:
We assisted the Council to conceive the concept of a trade festival for creative businesses to support the local creative industries in a self-financing manner. We helped develop the business plan, build the team and assisted hte Council to invest (equity and loan finance) in the festival. In its first year (2014), the festival was attended by 1,000 people, with over 60 speakers and featured in over 70 publications. For more information visit: www.SohoCreate.co.uk.

We helped the Council to develop the business plan, prepare the Cabinet Member Report to seek project sign-off, invest (equity and grant) in the business and set up operational and marketing systems at inception. The space is now in its 4th year of operation and is now a profitable self-financing venture.
Prime Minister, David Cameron said, "Hub Westminster is a brilliant idea and we want to help expand it. I encourage more public bodies to follow Westminster City Council's lead in forming innovative joint ventures to develop support structures like this, delivering economic growth in a self-financing way."
